This tree arrived much larger than I anticipated, about 4-5 feet tall (when I order fruit trees online, they usually arrive about 3 ft tall). It arrived in great shape and seems to be doing well after a couple weeks in the ground. Incidental details: I’m in Tampa Fl and got it as a 2nd plum tree (both self pollinating, but got 2 hoping to increase fruit production).

Love Red Flesh Plums

Trees arrived in great shape. Biggest disappointment was the size. They had a bamboo stick holding the tree up. Well the tree wasnt much thicker than the bamboo stick. Thought for the price i would get a tree close to the size they sell in the stores at spring time for even less money. I will never order a tree online again.

Dying tree no plums in my future

I still can't believe that the nursery actually shipped this plant. It was in HORRENDOUS condition! Every single leaf on every branch red blemishes and holes (something called Shotgun disease which is a fungus). I don't mean just one spot per leaf, I mean there were more holes than there was leaf! The tree was so diseased that the branches were affected as well--they were oozing sap and splitting. There's no way that this item should have been sold. I returned it to the store within an hour of receiving it. At first I considered trying to save it but that would have meant coming out of pocket for a fungicide and risking it spreading through my garden if it didn't go away. There should be a standard when it comes to the companies that Sams does business with. If there is--let me tell you this is one that should be cut loose.
