I love the ability to check what's in the fridge from the grocery store so I don't end up buying more than I need. There's also a feature that allows you to track expiration dates so you know when to eat what in order to prevent things from going bad. The look of the fridge is sleek enough not to stand out too much from the rest of the kitchen. Most importantly, it's keeps things cold/frozen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this refrigerator for 2-1/2 years now with no problems. For us, it is a good compromise between capacity and fitting the cabinet depth. It maintains temp just fine, with the caveat that your ice cream will get soft if you try to jam too many things in the freezer. There is an ice / water dispenser in the door in addition to the ice maker inside the freezer drawer. In hindsight, the only ice we use are the smaller size cubes found in the freezer drawer. The separate ice maker in the door never gets used, but the filtered and chilled water dispenser gets a lot of use. As a consequence, I am dumping out the stale ice from the neglected bins every month or so to keep the system from decaying from disuse. The shelves are very adjustable and despite their delicate appearance, support a lot of weight. There are some places in the interior that are challenging to clean if you have a spill. The unique aspect of the Family Hub series is of course the tablet screen that is mounted on the door. I confess this feature was what steered our buying decision away from other brands that frankly had a higher reliability rating. I'm not sorry either. The way the tablet gets used bears no relation to what I thought I would use it for, but no matter—part of the adventure has been figuring out how best to employ its features. For me, I had no inkling when I purchased the fridge that the family hub would usher in a new world of smart home features using it as a SmartThings hub. That's one of the apps included in the family hub, which can connect other Samsung smart appliances to the family hub screen. If you find that intriguing, keep reading:  there is a hidden compartment in one of the doors that has a port into which you can plug a “dongle” (available as an accessory from Samsung), and this upgrade connects many dozens of Zigbee and Matter devices to the SmarThings app. These can be controlled either by your phone or the Family Hub screen. I have lighting throughout my house connected to SmartThings in this fashion, and I don't have room in this review to describe all the things I can do with the lights. It can be frustrating at times if something's not working as it should, but the frustration is offset by the fun of discovering new cool things it can do.

The ice cubes are also one of my favorite features, it makes two different sizes, which makes it perfect for drinks. The freezer capacity is algo good, I can fit more than my previous fridge.

What an amazing fridge

However, I wish it came with baskets as food get lost easily and we’re constantly checking to make sure nothing got shoved. The drawer for the sandwich meats is too narrow. We like to keep our bread & bagels in the drawer and can’t because they will get crushed. The screen is nice because I do like to play Spotify music and the speakers are great on it. However, apps keep getting discontinued on it.

Needs improvement

There has unfortunately been a recent problem with the ice maker and we have had it happen before. We dont know if its occurring due to the environment or just the fridge not working correctly. Overall its a great fridge and would recommend for space and versatility.

it is not keeping temperature I had to throw away all my food in the refrigerator and freezer because the app says it is at 35° in the refrigerator and the freezer is at zero but on the refrigerator it is 88° in the refrigerator and 70 some degrees in the freezer

We purchased this refrigerator new in 2017 and were plagued with ice maker freezing up day 1... poor design according to the repair man they sent.  So the icemaker never got used after about 6 months.  Next, after about 5 years the Familiy Hub screen started showing jibberish  and finally locked up and went black.  Parts are expensive, finding anybody to work on it is next to impossible.  STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRAND!!!
