A three-sided aluminum valance protects the shade while not in use and extends the life of fabric. This shade comes fully assembled, just install brackets using installation template and click into place. The easy install bracket system allows you to quickly install the brackets anywhere along the valance. An installation template and 5-channel remote are included.

These are really nice. I bought 3 manual operation and 2 motorized. I placed the 2 motorized outside our patio door that would need to be operated more often and the others to balance out the patio. They block the light , but we can see out , but others can not see in.
