The Rain Wizard Urn 50 is a thing of beauty as well as a clever design. Constructed of thick, durable polyethylene resin, which holds up to the harshest elements, the exterior has the appearance of a terra cotta urn. Graceful lines, curves, and garnishes make it an accent piece for your home. A flat-back design optimizes space used and allows you to position the barrel close to walls or flat areas. The top is the only kind that acts as a planter space and also self-drains when excess water is present. There is also a channel built into the rim which diverts overflowing water to the front and away from the barrel and home foundation. Have peace of mind that you're conserving water and giving your garden the best water it can get, devoid of harsh chemicals and rich in nutrients. The Urn comes with two brass spigots and locations: a low, central spot to maximize water pressure and usage and an upper-side location for filling buckets and linking. These spigots use a standard 3/4 inch thread which will connect with all standard hoses. This rain barrel works fantastic and is so decorative that it looks like a piece of art. Easy to set up, just follow the instructions and take your time to be sure it’s level and you have the right tools. I have mine up on level cinder blocks to get good pressure when using the faucets. Love the 2 brass faucets that are heavy duty. Just be sure to put 4/5 complete rows of plummers tape that is included , and carefully screw them completely in not to strip them.

Decorative Rain Barrel that works

My husband and I bought 3 of the 70-gallon rainbarrels over 2 years ago. We've since had new gutters installed and now have two additional downspouts.  We never thought we'd find the same style in stock....lucky us!  These rainbarrels are the exact style....they just hold 20-gallons less water.  
We were already happy with the original barrels, and we love that these blend right in with the others. 
It seems like a few improvements were made. ..additional hose adapter.

I love the look of this rain barrel and the fact it has two spickets to get the rain out of the barrel.  Great idea, one low and one high.

Smartly Designed Rain Barrel

I love the look and glad to save on my water bill. It was easy to put the spouts in, but the screen on top does not allow the water to go in quickly therefore it is spilled onto the ground. I fashioned and replaced the cover. The barrel filled quickly. Love the top to add my flowers.

Rain wizard rain barrel 50 gal

Bought this month and received later than promised.  Came with two outlets and only one faucet to control the water in the barrel. Now I have to buy another faucet, not happy about that.  Cannot recommend until they put two faucets in each barrel and send to the customer.  Tell me ahead of time I'm not getting two faucets and I can order another unit.  I need two barrels but will not buy another of this one.

Rain Barrel

I was replacing a previous rain barrel.  Last night I found that the top rim was overflowing and running down the front.  The screen was not big enough to collect the falling rain and stay in the collection on top of the barrel- it ran over the edges quickly and down the front of the barrel to the front. NOt very practical.  Should be an overflow site for this overflow.  Also, it is much smaller than the one I received from the city. It is pretty but not very big.  Not able to attach another barrel to collect water.

Not satisfied with the barrel

I bought two of these for my rain garden. One looks fine and will probably do the job. The other had a hole that wasn’t drilled correctly and will probably leak. On the outside the barrels seem high quality, the rain guard that comes with it is good but sort of comes up at the edges cause the hold for the plastic screen are too close together. The hole for the bottom downspout (see pics) was not drilled correctly and now will probably have to be replaced although I haven’t tried returning it because they are so big and I’ve already put them out. It has rained once, I’ll wait for one more rain before I decide. 2 stars because one of them looks and works fine.

Poor quality control

This is the third rain barrel I have purchased. This is definitely the poorest quality of the three. The molding is very poor and shaving from drilling and cutting holes were left in barrel. Had to vacuum it out to prevent stopping up faucet. One of the faucet was missing. I would spend a little more and get a quality rain barrel.
