  • Use Instructions: If you are under 18 years of age, consult a doctor before use. No studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of this product. Before use, read the included User’s Guide for comprehensive instructions and important information. Start using the lozenge on your quit day. If you smoke your first cigarette within 30 minutes of waking up, use a 4 mg nicotine lozenge; if you smoke your first cigarette more than 30 minutes after waking up, use a 2 mg nicotine lozenge. Follow a 12-week schedule: 1 lozenge every 1-2 hours for weeks 1-6; 1 lozenge every 2-4 hours for weeks 7-9; and 1 lozenge every 4-8 hours for weeks 10-12. Place the lozenge in your mouth and let it slowly dissolve over 20-30 minutes, minimizing swallowing. Do not chew or swallow the lozenge. You may feel a warm or tingling sensation. Occasionally move the lozenge from one side of your mouth to the other until completely dissolved. Do not eat or drink 15 minutes before or during use. For the best chances of quitting, use at least 9 lozenges per day for the first 6 weeks. Do not use more than one lozenge at a time or use them continuously, as this may cause side effects like hiccups, heartburn, or nausea. Do not use more than 5 lozenges in 6 hours or more than 20 lozenges per day. Complete the treatment and consult your healthcare provider if you feel you need to use the lozenge longer to avoid smoking.

Really take the edge off. Read the instructions. Those of you complaining about the taste are either chewing or swallowing them. You are to do neither. Let it rest in your mouth, moving it from one cheek to the other until dissolved. I feel the need to say this in a review because nicotine poisoning is a very real and serious threat to a person's health. Follow the instructions and you won't hardly "taste" anything.
