I found the soup had a sweet taste, but very enjoyable.  The amount of cheese included, and croutons was more than I expected.  Very generous!  As with any prepared soup I wish there was a bit let sodium.  My only problem is the package is for two bowls. I wound up enjoying both servings in one sitting!  My bad!  I definitely would buy again

French Onion Soup

You just don't see French onion soup much any more in restaurants or at the grocery store.  I bought this because I always like French onion with cheese and bread on a cold winters day.  This year we have had plenty of cold weather and I believe the soup has won a place in our pantry going forward.

Just as good as a week in Paris

This soup mix is a quick and convenient option for a soup that is not usually offered in a premade form. It offers fresh ingredients and comes with toppings, so everything you need is all together in the package. It took only four minutes in the microwave and has two sets of ingredients for four total servings.

This is a great alternative if you're craving French onion soup and don't want to go through the hassle of making it. This is an easy three step kit and the soup will be ready in a matter of minutes. It's actually very tasty, a little bit spicy but pretty delicious! Everything is included in the kit, so put it on the stove top or microwave and it's ready to go!  One additional note.  The box says it is 4 servings but there are only two bags of items each, so one bag is two servings for the soup cheese and bread.

I really appreciated how convenient this French onion soup was; all the ingredients were prepared and easy to put together. However, the flavor leaned much sweeter than expected, which took away from my enjoyment. Overall, it wasn’t quite to my taste.

Great Prep, Not My Taste

The onions are well portioned, and the soup comes together quickly, making it suitable for a weeknight meal or a quick appetizer. The flavor is decent but a bit on the mild side, lacking the deep, rich onion taste you'd expect from a traditional French onion soup. The broth could be more robust, and the overall taste feels slightly processed. It's not bad, but it doesn't quite deliver that classic restaurant-quality experience. Good for convenience, but there's room for improvement in flavor depth.

I had hopes for this soup as I truly enjoy French onion soup. This one is particular was gross. It taste like apple cider vinegar. Had to throw all of it away. I'm not close to Sam's, so I didn't make sense to drive back for a refund.

Never again

Very heavy sherry tasting. Not a lot of other flavors come through but a rich wine taste.Also, it says serving for 4. but it's packaged in 2's. So there are 2 packs of soup (1 pack is 2 servings) 2 packs of croutons and 2 packs of cheese. So if you just want 1 bowl of soup, you have to open up all of the packages.

Not as good as expected.

Good concept, but a bit bland.  I went the extra step and warmed it up slowly over a burner.  Appreciate the separately packaged cheese and croutons, but thought there could have been more cheese.  Two servings per pouch for a total of four small bowls.
