Leerdammer is the wholly Dutch (or should we say the hole-y Dutch?) natural, tasty cheese. Leerdammer Original Baby Swiss Style Cheese is made in a unique way which gives it its smooth, nutty, and creamy flavor. Ready-sliced, semi-hard Leerdammer sliced cheese is handy as well as tasty. We love it as a sandwich filling or as a quick snack straight from the fridge. Mmm! Leerdammer is real cheese, so it’s naturally high in calcium and protein…there’s 24 % of your daily calcium needs in each slice. Vegetarian cheese, lactose-free cheese and of course it’s additive free. In short, it means we want the best for our cows. There’s no such official term for ‘free-range cheese’ but for us, free-grazing means that cows get to enjoy the great outdoors and graze on Dutch pastures for a minimum of 6 hours, for 120 days a year, from the spring to autumn. In winter, and at some other times, a cosy shed or stable is more comfortable for them.
