It does a very nice job of circulating air quietly. 12 speeds are a bit of an overkill, but I'm sure it helps in the marketing. top speeds are not whisper quiet, but it's so much better than a pedestal oscillating fan and not near as cumbersome to negotiate past.

Great for moving air from one room to another

I bought this fan in August of 2025 to replace my last Lasko that we purchased 14 years ago. Loved my last one and already loving the new model. They’re slightly slimmer now, a bit quieter and have great functions like a timer, more speed options and more oscillating range. Hoping I get another 14 years out of this one!

Wonderful Fan with multiple great functions

The fan is actually decently quiet on full blast. I like the remote has a space on the back of the fan to attach it so you don’t lose it. Small footprint. Works nicely!

Nice fan!

This fan is awesome, I recently had a service technician at our house and he was walking in our house as the fan was running.  He said wow, I can feel the air from the fan over here about 10 feet away!  He was very impressed, as we were with volume of air and how quiet it was!

Big power in a streamline design

Quiet and good breeze. We had to put on an end table to get the breeze to the bed. A/C went out for 5 days and this made sleeping bearable.

I was really impressed with this fan. It runs so quietly, you barely know it's on! Very lightweight and easy to move around. I would definitely purchase again.

Very quiet- would purchase again

The fan is very quiet and I like all the settings however it does not rotate enough and the bottom portion of the fan has wasted space they could have used to push out more air.

Doesn’t blow me away

I wanted a fan that took up less space and cooled the place down. Less space? Yes. Cooling the place off? Not so much. I’ve paid less for a fan I feel works better. Wish I had of just put that money toward the purchase of an air conditioner.

Lasko 42” oscillating 12 speed fan

Love that this fan is quiet and cooling, which is exactly why I purchased it to begin with.  My only gripe is that it easily falls over if one of the dogs walks by and bumps it.

It was an okay fan until I wanted to use the remote.  You have to stand up to point the remote at the top of the fan for it to work!  What’s the purpose of a remote?!  Returned.
