Le Madeline Tomato Basil Soup

Too bad they closed the LaMadeleine restaurant near us… I’m so glad you can still buy this at Sam’s!  This is excellent tomato basil soup.

La Madeleine, a great French bistro in Texas makes and releases this Tomato/Basil delight. Get a baguette and indulge!

I love this product!! I use it as a soup, a sauce or an additive.

Very flavorful and versatile

GREAT SOUP!

HOWEVER, the image clearly shows 2 (two) 15.5oz jars, but the item is actually 1 (one) 31oz jar.   This is apparently a known issue as others have previous complaints about this matter.  Sam's Club should change the image immediately, or else give the consumer what is pictured.

Inaccurate Website Description

I hoped that this would be good, but I was sadly disappointed. It has an unsavory aftertaste. One bowl was enough for me and the rest went into the garbage. I wish Sam's Club would bring back the Members Mark Tomato Bisque soup in the cold section. I could eat that all day everyday.

Leave it on the shelf

Not For Diabetics or those watching their sugar intake. There is no reason that tomato soup should have 12g of sugar per 8oz serving. There is no added sugars but ingredients probably adds 8-9g over what is contributed by tomatoes, alone. ALSO buyers beware. The catalog photo shows two bottles, but the base order quantity is ONE. This is deceptive practices.
