This is a really great cordless, Bluetooth (among other inputs), weatherproof speaker. The size is perfect, one foot wide by almost one foot tall by 6 inches deep with a really nice handle. The sound quality is exceptional and the light shows are an added bonus. I like that you can control certain functions from the user-friendly app. You can also buy a second one to sync for stereo surround.

Superior Sound

I was really surprise about the size and how loud it is. This will be perfect for use with my outdoor theater setup, especially after I get a second one, since its water resistant. You can link two together via the app to create a stereo-like sound. The app works good too and allows you to change the colors, adjust volume, equalizer, and source. The built in radio function is a bonus if you don't want to play anything via bluetooth. You can search and save channels in the app, too. The speaker feels very solid and sounds great. Looking forward to buying a second one.

Pretty cool Little speaker! I was concerned with the overall size due to the size of the box it shipped in but it’s a great, portable size. A soft carrying handle and lightweight overall. Sound is clear, lights are cool! I’ll need to explore it a little more but it’s a keeper!

Easy to use, lightweight!

This ION Tailgater TD Rugged Bluetooth Speaker from Sam's Club is the perfect addition to your patio bar, camping equipment and just have hanging around for whatever the occasion. What I like most is the sound, it is clear and loud. This unit has LED lights in multiple colors, it has a 10 hour rechargeable batter, Yes that's right, it doesn't need plugged in which makes it an awesome item for your survival gear, and it's waterproof. Also, has a FM Radio feature, that comes in handy during those power outages, especially here in Florida.

Massive Sound!

The Tailgater TD sounds great for its size.  The app works well to control the volume, sound, lights, etc.  I use this radio outside by my hot tub.  It is waterproof so it doesn’t hurt it to get splashed by water.  All of the controls on the front and charging port on the back is covered.  It also has ports that you can charge your phone, or USB playback.  You can pair Two speakers for stereo sound, I will be getting another so that I can do this.

We love this Ion boom box. The battery life is amazing. It has great sound even at full blast. The app is nice it's great to be able to adjust the sound, equalizer and light effects from the app on your phone. It is a nice size portable yet powerful.

This small but mighty Tailgater portable speaker delivers excellent sound quality, making it great for on-the-job use. Out by the truck, it lasted all afternoon, only draining about a third of the battery. Bluetooth pairing is seamless, but the standout feature for work is the FM radio option.

Compact, sturdy, and surprisingly lightweight, it’s easy to take anywhere—whether to a job site, beach trip, picnic, or backyard gathering. The fun LED lights were a hit with my toddler nephews for a dance party, but they can also be turned off if you prefer. I also appreciate the inclusion of a mic and aux ports. Recharging was quick and easy, taking only about an hour for a half-full battery. Highly recommend for versatile, portable sound!

Powerful Sound - Bluetooth and FM Speaker

The tailgater Bluetooth speaker is really nice. The sounds is great and it’s easy to connect to your phone. It’s not very heavy and can easily be packed. The light modes are pretty neat too. Overall this is a nice addition for games or even beach days.

I received the Tailgater TD Rugged Bluetooth Speaker to review and tested it in a few different settings. I first used it in my backyard while relaxing outside and was impressed by the sound quality. The bass is deep, the highs are crisp, and it fills an open space with ease. I also brought it into my garage while working on a project, and it maintained clear audio even at higher volumes.

One of the biggest advantages of this speaker is its rugged build, which makes it perfect for outdoor use. The Bluetooth connectivity is quick and reliable, and the battery life lasts for hours without needing a recharge. It’s definitely a speaker built for extended use, whether at home or on the go.

A minor downside is its weight—it’s a bit heavier than I expected, which makes it slightly less portable. A better handle or a carrying strap would make transporting it easier.

Overall, this speaker is a great option for outdoor gatherings, barbecues, and parties. I can’t wait to use it this summer with friends and family. If you’re looking for a durable, high-quality Bluetooth speaker, this one is a solid choice.

Rugged and Powerful Speaker – Great for Outdoor Us

Sound wise, this is a great speaker! Music comes through clearly with a deep sound. It is quite large and heavy. There is an app that allows you to change settings and lights but is not helpful with getting the actual music to play from your device. My biggest complaint is when I tried to remove the protective plastic from the screen, the entire screen popped off (see pictures)!

Good sound, app and screen issues

My ION Wave Rider X is louder than this one, I bought it expecting that this would be better. I’m so disappointed, I returned it and got my money back.
