After learning on a tour how Hawaii grows their own chocolate and macadamias. I purchased them from the Walmart in Honolulu and took them back home to TN. Everyone I graced with a box thought they were absolutely delicious and they were.

Aloha Hawaiian chocolate are very delicious. We got these in Hawaii when we went in 2012 and haven’t had them since then until now. They are so yummy. We were glad we seen them as I do believe they are seasonal so hopefully we will be able to get them again soon.

Hawaiian alohamacs

Got these on sale, they are delicious. When you just need some chocolate these are great. And macadamia nuts are a huge bonus. Great for gift giving I’m sure, but I kept these for me.

I need chocolate

We always bring this to our son and daughter in law in Vegas. Hawaiian Host is their favorite. The chocolate is smoother, richer and creamier than the other brands.

Great OMIYAGE

We love these, but the starting price this season was way too high.  We bought quite a few boxes when they went on special.

Special price made them worth buying.

A taste of the Islands. Creamy chocolate and macadamia 🌰 nuts. Delicious and gives you the mini Hawaiian vacay feel.

Taste of the Islands

Raised price but not only less boxes but less candy in box.  Taste is a little different too.  This was  my  Omiyagi (gift) when visiting friends and family on the mainland but they now tell me they prefer anything else.

Not a good value anymore.

Not so good

They just arrived and when I opened the package I immediately noticed that there are only 5 boxes this year where as last year there were 6 and there are less chocolates in each box. So not only did they decrease the amount of chocolate by 30% (36 total ounces down to 25 total oz) they increased the price by 30% (last year’s price was $19.91 and this year it is $29.94).  The chocolate doesn’t seem as flavorful either. More waxy and less chocolatey. Won’t be buying again. Not worth it.

Shrinkflation AND Inflation

I think these had expired because they didn’t taste good.
