I've never had bao before, and the packaging was devoid of instructions. Did some reading online, and steamed them above some boiling water. (I should have sprayed the metal liner with oil, as the bottoms, sadly, ripped off when I removed them.) The texture to the bun is very interesting. Soft, sponge-y, and sweet to the taste. The meat was good, too. I actually loved it! On my last bun, since I already had some soy sauce in a bowl, I dipped it, and that salty flavor mixed with the sweetness of the bun and pork? YES PLEASE.

My wife was excited when I picked one of these to try. The bun was soft and springy, and the filling tastes close to what we grew up eating in Southeast Asia. Bao like this is not easy to find. The best ones are from Chinatown in New York City. It's great that Sam's Club sells this. We would definitely buy this again.

My Wife Loved It!

steaming is the best way… like 5 minutes… in whatever container… i used a tamale steamer and parchment paper on the bottom with tiny cuts to let the steam through… they are done when you can poke them like the pillsbury dough boy… soft and squishy and delicious…

They are so good my family loves them especially my kids my nieces and nephews my mom and dad its on are weekly menu's . my kids love having them for a snack. Pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds easy

Passed by these many times, I love pork baos, but was hesitant to try these.  Picked up a pack, and was pleasantly surprised.  Taste great and are easy to heat up in the microwave.  Now I pick up a pack everytime I shop!

Great Buns!!

There was not very much meat in these and the dough was a bit tough, even after warming.  We would have returned them , except we had a few bites from each, because there were 4 of us.

Pork Boa, not very ood

I had a similar experience as another reviewer where the meat seemed questionable. There were chunks of meat that tasted like just cartilage. I was really disappointed because the flavor was delicious and the buns were perfect (since I decided to steam them).

It's just not that good. The dough was a bit on the rubbery side

I really wish these had a better quality meat in the filling. Lots of gristle and chunks that look like skin or parts of the animal that's usually disposed of. I hate to waste food but I cannot eat this mystery meat. The bun had a nice texture and flavor though.
