Dark Roast

I have enjoyed Folger’s coffee for years. When I saw the variant “Black Silk”, it sounded great. However, I didn’t realize it was a dark roast for over a year. I have always opted for light roasts. Clever marketing opened me up to a great coffee. I drink it black, no sugar.

Black Silk Was Like Finding Black Gold

I am always sceptical when a new blend of coffee comes out to the mass markets. I took a chance on Folgers Black Silk, and I am so glad I did. The aroma, of course, is a great precurser to my first cup of Black Silk in the morning. I used to never drink black coffee; I'm more of a half 'n half fan, but I had to taste it black to get the full experience. It doesn't bite, or have bitterness, and has a very smooth finish as it slides over the tongue into my gullett. In my opinion, it is an outstanding blend that Folgers has developed and introduced. I usually do over-the-top, well-rounded scoops; so a 12 cup brew usually will take more than just a level scoop will take about 18 probably. You do you, but I suggest you try it.
