We owned a Dyson upright which became too heavy and cumbersome, but we love the Dyson brand. So we purchased a Dyson V10 and it's lightweight, cordless and has varied suction selections and with the flip of a button you can vacuum hardwood or carpet. It was a great choice for us!

I've had this vacuum a couple months. It hangs in a closet and is easily detached to start vacuuming. I love it. No cord. Lightweight, and powerful. I vacuum two or three times as often as before. Picks up cat hair handily. It's easy to empty the debris.

Powerful & easier to use than traditional vacuum!

I absolutely LOVE my new Dyson V10 Animal! The suction is amazing…even on the lowest power! I had another brand of stick vacuum and it didn't come up, at all, to the standard of my new Dyson. My old stick vacuum literally DIED after two and a half years! On low power the Dyson lasts almost a full hour. The set of attachments is also wonderful!

Wonderful Stick Vacuum!

I'm very pleased with my Dyson V10 stickvac. I needed something very light, maneuverable, but with strong suction. This vacuum fits the bill. I had to return another brand's stick vac because the weight, at over 5 pounds, was not good for me. I wanted something that I could bring out quickly to do a cleanup of my kitchen after dinner, to get the hair picked up in the bathroom after a furious hair drying session, etc.

Great for quick pickups, touchups.

Love this stick vac! I've owned several different brands over the last few years and never had the suction this Dyson has. I have carpet and wood floors along with 2 dogs and a cat. Sucks up all cat litter and dog hair. I will never waste money on inferior stick vacs again. Good investment.

10 stars!

I bought this vacuum to replace another V10. The canister feel off and cracked so I replaced the vacuum. The new V10 has great suction and ease of use. The only drawback is the slide mechanism for emptying the bin is very hard to move. It seems that the amount of force to move it may cause it to break.

HARD TO EMPY V10

I bought this for my small fitness studio which has hard wood flooring. I love the cordless stick vacuum style and previous used another brand that I thought was doing a decent job. I must say, I am beyond impressed with this vacuum! It is light, charges quickly, has superior suction and is easy to empty. My floors have NEVER been this clean. It cleans as thoroughly as a microfiber dust mop...maybe even better. I use it at least 5 times a day in between classes and clients. My biggest love is how well it handles all of the hair. Somehow it just goes right into the bin and does not get stuck in the rotation blade. It's miraculous.

Worth the money

Great machine, I had the v8 for about 5-6 years wonderful. Now the v10 animal is great! I just wish they would send an extra filter for rotating the filters so you can have one to change over when it is time to clean, they do take a while to dry. It amazing!

Fantastic

My first Dyson vacuum. I must say I love it!! The best feature for me is the roller stays clean no hair is stuck in the brush!!! However, a few other owners mention to me that the battery usually have issues later on. So I'm hoping this issue skips me LOL. The only change I would recommend is the power button. Why do you have to consistely apply pressure? Can this be converted to a switch?

Good product

I have purchased two of these. I love how light it is and how well it performs, but I wish it had a light. The bigger issue, though, is that the battery doesn't last very long if you use it on the strongest suction setting. This wouldn't be so bad if you could purchase back up batteries, but that doesn't appear to be an option.

Great suction, not so great battery life

Had this for about 2 months. We use it once per week for the whole house with maybe one day of light use between. Returned it today. Battery does not last, have to charge in the middle of use. Suction is not great, especially on flat, no pile, area rugs.
