Quality basic tool hammer set
Every tool set needs a basic good quality, heavy, sturdy, hammer and this one fits the bill perfectly. That the set comes with an equally good quality mallet is a bonus! The weight of each piece is substantial enough to feel sturdy and stable without being so heavy that it’s tiresome to use. The size of the head of each hammer is perfect for a variety of household maintenance jobs. A mallet is an under appreciated essential tool for a basic tool box. This one is well made, sturdy and has enough give in the head to work perfectly where you want the pressure of a hammer without the damage that comes from a metal hammer head. I’d recommend this set for anyone building a first time tool box, a new home owner or anyone wanting to upgrade their hammers.

Hammer/Mallet combo...very impressed
Hammer/mallet are impressive...mallet is a serious tool...it has substantial weight behind it and will be great for needing to level tile, blocks, bricks or whatever you need a rubber mallet for. The hammer has great feel to the handle and has weight behind it as well.

Rubber Hammer and Claw Hammer Review
I used the rubber hammer in a plumbing job. It did not damage the pipe and has a good grip. The hammer is balanced nicely. It fit well in my hand and was not awkward to swing. I used the claw hammer to nail and pull nails in a small carpentry job. It had a nice balanced swing and was easy to hold in my hand. The grip was good. Both hammers would be good additions to any tool chest.
