A Backyard Staple

If you're looking for a toy that actually gets the kids excited to head outdoors, the Step2 My First Picnic Basket is a total winner. We've had ours for a bit now, and it has become the centerpiece of our backyard playtime. What I love most is how it bridges the age gap in our house. It's rare to find something that captures the attention of both a 3-year-old and an 8-year-old, but this set does exactly that. Why It's a Hit: Multi-Age Appeal: My toddler loves the tactile feel of the play food and the "click" of the basket lid, while my 8-year-old takes charge of the "menu" and organizes elaborate outdoor feasts. Built to Last: In true Step2 fashion, the plastic is heavy-duty. It handles being dropped on the patio or left in the grass without a scratch. Encourages Fresh Air: It's been the perfect catalyst for getting them away from screens. They'll spend an entire afternoon setting up their "campsite" and having a real-deal outside picnic. Easy Cleanup: Everything tucks right back into the basket, making it easy for the kids to head back inside when the sun goes down.

Compact, versatile, and durable

What a neat toy that can help kids of many ages play together and use their imagination. The items are durable and the basket allows for the option to add other play food items to the picnic. This was able to be used outside and also inside without issue. It is easy to clean up and store away. My daughter loved it so much that she was bringing it up the stairs to take it to bed at night. A great way for kids to play together.
