[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, simple yet elegant.  Solid porcelain.  Usually with porcelain you feel like it's thin and you're going to chip it. These have a solid feel to it I'm not as worried about them chipping.  I love the little lip the plates have I only have one complaint is that I didn't get a place settings!

The soup bowls are the perfect mix of wide and deep for cereal, soup, etc. The salad bowls are just deep enough to keep the goodness in the bowl instead of on your table while still giving you a good amount of service area for toppings, etc. Both sizes of plates are lovely as well with a small rim. 100% will buy an additional set to have a full 8 pieces of each item.

The bottom of every dish has a soft finish which is important to us as we don't want any of the dinnerware to scratch the table finish. 
This set is microwave and dishwasher safe which is perfect for a family with kids.
