These girls shorts are absolutely fantastic. They are lightweight and not too bulky. They are great for hiking outdoor activities as well as school. They are made extremely well and also feature a functional drawstring if you wanted to size up and zippered pockets I Would definitely recommend these shorts

Outdoor Voices Girls Rectrek Shorts

My daughter loves these! They are super soft and she loves how the material is stretchy. She is a size 10 and these fit perfect. The cute zipper pockets are a plus and hold her phone perfectly when at the theme parks. They dry super fast when going on those water rides and loves to tell me that my pants don't dry as fast as hers.

Outdoor voices short

Outdoor Voices has become a new go-to brand for me. I got these shorts for my daughter to use when running and exercising. They're comfortable and not flimsy. They allow for freedom of movement but still provide good coverage and modesty. Clearly a well-made product.

Outdoor Voices making a name for itself!

These are better than expected! I got them for my daughter to wear camping/hiking. The material seems like water would roll off. They are not very thick but not see through at all and seem like they will stand up well to outdoor wear. The zipper pockets are nice and deep. I like the loose fit in the legs. I do think they run a little on the large side.

Great shorts

My daughter loves the fit of these shorts. She is very active and likes that they fit well and she can move in them. I like that they wash well and I can get stains out easily. My daughter is between size 8 and 10 so we got a 10 and it fits perfectly.

Great for active kiddos

I got these for my daughter and she really likes them. The inside of the shorts comes with a different material that is soft. I really like that the pockets have a zipper so things dont fall out. Only negative is that they are little loud when you wear them. Other then that they fit good and they are comfortable.

My daughter really likes these shorts. When I first touched them I thought they were rough and stiff. However, once they were tried on she loved them. One thing I really liked was the fact that it had zippers for the pockets so you can put things in them and not worry about losing them. They fit true to size which was 10-12 Large.

This extra coverage adds to their wearability and makes them suitable for a wider range of settings, from casual outings to travel or errands.

On the downside, the fabric isn’t as soft as expected. While it feels sturdy and contributes to the overall sense of quality, it does have a slightly rough texture against the skin, especially noticeable during longer wear or in warmer weather. It’s not uncomfortable, but it’s something to be aware of if you prefer very soft, lightweight materials.

Overall, these shorts deliver good quality, appealing style, and a practical length. If the fabric were softer, they’d be nearly perfect, but they’re still a worthwhile purchase for their look and durability.

Good quality

These shorts have stretch in the waistband. The material is very rough and scratchy. I'm worried how much this will rub my daughters' legs in the summer time. They aren't clingy which is good, especially if they get wet. These may chaff in the heat though.

Rough feeling

These shorts aren't what we thought they would be. The material was very rough. Almost stiff and not comfortable. My daughter does not want to wear them. The waistband is also very big and bulky. Will leave the imprints on skin if too snug. I would not recommend.
