Versatile Use
Designed for versatile use, you can apply these granules on your lawn, ornamentals, home perimeter, vegetable garden, and flower beds. It creates a protective barrier against insects, killing them outside before they can make their way inside.
Long-Lasting Protection
Ortho® BugClear® Lawn Insect Killer1 granules offer long-lasting protection. It creates a bug barrier that lasts up to 6 months for ant control and provides 3 months of residual protection against spiders, ticks, armyworms, beetles, and other listed insects.
Easy Application
For optimal results, apply the yard bug killer early in the spring before infestation or whenever insect activity or damage is first observed. Use a Scotts® spreader for application and then immediately water in the granules. It is imperative to read the full product label, including instructions, before use. Each 22-lb bag is sufficient to treat up to 36,000 sq. ft.

I’ve used this product in the past and have been very happy with the effectiveness of it. I have 3 acres and haven’t been disappointed in how it takes care of so many insects. Main concern was for grubs and it worked. But took a little longer due to weather. The price was also a good deal. I like the options of buying either 10 pound bags or the 20 pound size. My daughter also uses this same product. No complaints.

it says kills on contact and I wanted to test it so since I also have fire ants in my yard I purposely put so on the mounds and continued putting it out on the yard. I checked back a few minutes later and there were hundreds of dead fire ants on top of the mound. since I put it out right before it was supposed to be light rain I didn't water it in. I've noticed that I'm not seeing any insects other than just now and then
