I love this machine better than any I have owned. I love the permanent filter, the way the water showers across the coffee to begin, the onboard frother that even when used with cold milk does not make the coffee cold, the design of the carafe and shelf for cups, the easy to see reserve for water and the look of it. The magnetic spoon with guides makes measuring coffee simple.

this coffee maker is one of the best things to ever happen to me! don't bother with a keurig! i have drank the nasty gross coffee from keurigs for nearly a decade---all for convenience plus i liked how fancy they were considered before many homes had them. i liked the ease of a k cup but it's expensive and it's impossible to get that compartment clean. i was reluctant at first to have to start buying grounds again but i'm so glad i did! the ease of cleaning this device (esp if you use coffee filters) is unparalleled! not to mention THE COFFEE THAT COMES OUT IS DIVINE and THE FROTHING WAND WORKS PERFECTLY! you can make excellent cappuccinos with this. prior to this, i let my keurig collect dust and went through the process making espresso from my moka pot & steaming & frothing milk with an immersion stick blender and it still wasn't amazing. it also took forever and the clean up was a pain. my neighbor had this and i ran out and got it immediately (i stopped shopping for a frothing wand and returned my new keurig) and i'll never need another coffee maker again. this makes every style of coffee you'd ever need. you can do a single and choose the size of brew, or choose a couple different sizes of carafes. the frothing wand doesn't steam the milk---i just use a little 1 cup pyrex cup to heat the milk in a microwave for 30 sec. i use cafe bustelo for "specialty concentrate" which is as good as espresso, and i steam 2-4 oz heavy whipping cream & use frothing wand to make my daily keto friendly cappuccinos. i look forward to every morning and use the delayed brew option. i wake up between 3:30-4:30 daily to work a very high pressure, high profile job where nothing is predictable so this is one of the nice moments in life i can look forward to daily.
