Tasting Beer
Perfect Pour: Whether you are pouring beer from a can, bottle, growler or draft system; tilt the glass 45 degrees and pour down the side of the glass until it’s half full, then tilt it to the upright position and finish pouring the beer down the middle of the glass.
- See: Raise the glass against a light source and evaluate the appearance. Comment on the clarity of the beer, it’s color and foam quality.
- Smell: Swirl the glass to stimulate the aromatics in the beer, bring it close to your nose and inhale. Comment on hop and malt aroma, yeast signature, and any other aromatic qualities of the beer.
- Taste: Swirl the glass again and take a sip. Spread the beer everywhere in your mouth to reach all your taste buds. Evaluate the acidity, sweetness and bitterness. Other perceptions of saltiness and umami are possible. As beer warms up taste will combine with your olfactory receptors in the back of your nose.
- Mouthfeel: Swallow the beer and take notes of the mouthfeel from the front of your mouth to the back of your throat. Is it drying, round, chewy, creamy, warming? How about the carbonation?

- Renewable Energy: Leveraging renewable sources for our purchased electricity and creating efficiencies across our facility footprint Circular Packaging: producing our packaging from recycled or returnable content.
Responsible Drinking
As the industry leader, we go the extra mile to encourage people to enjoy our products responsibly. We take this very seriously. Since the launch of our first responsible drinking campaign — back in 1982 — Anheuser-Busch and our wholesaler partners have invested more than $1 billion in responsible drinking initiatives and community-based programs to prevent underage drinking, impaired driving, and other harmful use of alcohol. And we understand this is a team effort. By working together with wholesalers, retailers, educators, parents, law enforcement officials and professional sports teams, we strive to ensure that our products are always consumed responsibly.
Supporting Local Communities
We have a team of over 19,000 colleagues across the U.S., all united by our unwavering commitment to supporting the communities we call home. Over the last 30 years, Anheuser-Busch and the Anheuser-Busch Foundation have donated more than $600 million to charitable organizations across the country that help individuals and communities thrive – including support of disaster preparedness and relief, economic development, education, environmental sustainability, military personnel and their families, and responsible drinking. Whether it's helping rebuild a neighborhood, donating emergency drinking water to areas impacted by natural disasters, or providing scholarships to help develop our future leaders, we'll do what we can to help make our communities a better place for everyone.
