Nectaroscordum, a type of ornamental allium, belongs to a diverse genus of over 400 species, including onions, leeks, garlic, chives, and shallots. Despite its culinary relatives, allium blooms bring high drama to gardens with their ball-shaped clusters of flowers in colors ranging from white and yellow to pink and purple. Planting and Caring for Peonies

Plant peonies outdoors in fall before frost in a partially shaded location with rich, porous soil that drains well.
