If more than 30 minutes after waking up, use the 2mg lozenge. Follow a 12-week schedule: 1 lozenge every 1-2 hours for weeks 1 to 6, 1 lozenge every 2-4 hours for weeks 7 to 9, and 1 lozenge every 4-8 hours for weeks 10 to 12. Do not chew or swallow the lozenge; place it in your mouth and let it dissolve slowly, moving it occasionally from one side of your mouth to the other. You may feel a warm or tingling sensation. Avoid eating or drinking 15 minutes before and while the lozenge is in your mouth. Use at least 9 lozenges per day for the first 6 weeks to improve your chances of quitting. Do not use more than one lozenge at a time or continuously use one after another as it can cause side effects like hiccups, heartburn, and nausea. Do not exceed 5 lozenges in 6 hours or 20 lozenges per day. It's important to complete the treatment. If you feel the need to use the lozenge for a longer period, consult your healthcare provider.
