This is the best store bought cake I have ever had! I hope it's a permanent menu option because I'm buying it weekly and probably will end up in a sugar induced coma but it's worth it. As others mention, the cake itself is tender and so buttery. The frosting.. wow I cannot believe how good it is, unlike any frosting I've had before. It's sweet but not over the top. It's the perfect cake! I think angels are descending from heaven to prepare it… that is the only explanation.

Divine! The perfect cake!

I'm not a cake guy.  Not really even a desert guy.  The wife guilted me into tasting this cake and after a small taste, ended up inhaling a Texas Toast sized slice!  The flavor is phenomenal.  I'm the type of person that takes the frosting off of cupcakes… not this time.  The flavor play between the layers, cake itself, and frosting was a medley.

A Flavor Symphony

I was given a free sample for my honest opinion and this cake exceeded my expectations! Four perfectly portioned layers of rich cream frosting and light, spongy confetti cake! The flavor is great, if not a little butter forward but the sweetness of the icing pairs well. Stayed moist even over several days. The confetti sprinkles on the top are a little hard, however I do not feel that they diminished the overall value of the cake and my kids loved them.

Perfect ratio of cake to icing

I picked this up for the husband who is a lover of cake. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. The cake is moist and the frosting is so good, you can taste the butter in it. Another person mentioned it was too sweet. I disagree. I think it's a very rich cake that goes perfectly with a cold glass of milk.

Purchased a slice and was pleasantly surprised! The cake itself was moist with a tender crumb and the frosting was rich while being light; but most importantly, not too sweet unlike most grocery store cakes where the sweetness overwhelms the other flavors. I can see myself repurchasing this cake as long as it's available!

Would tear it up like the kid in Matilda

I was given a free sample for my honest review. My kids and I loved this cake! Super moist with soft, buttery icing. It's sweet but the icing isn't sickeningly sweet. We had it on the last day of school to celebrate and I definitely plan to pick this cake up for other little milestone celebrations going forward. Perfect size and price for a small gathering.

I don't always like bakery cakes because the icing is usually so sweet it is overwhelming.  This cake was very different!  The icing is creamy and delicious without being too sweet.  The cake itself is very moist and airy.  It is quite rich, but a small slice was delicious!

Delicious cake that's not too sweet

WOW WOW! MY FRIEND bought this cake to work for a party and i'll have to say it's the best cake I've ever tasted from a store! So good my boss wants it for her daughters wedding cake at each table it's that good! It's the perfect taste of not too sweet but very flavorful. Definitely will be buying this for every birthday which is every month

wow the best cake ever!

I was given a free sample for my honest opinion.  I rate this cake 5 stars.  I am not usually a cake guy, but this one was exceptionally good.  It was very moist and flavorful, not to mention it looks fantastic.  Kids will love it because it shouts "party" with the colorful dots.  Adults will love it for the taste.  My wife and I have been slowly devouring it and it is still as good five days later as it was at the beginning.  My only  issue  with it is that it is exceptionally sweet.  There is lots of sugar in both cake and frosting (and with the layers, there is a lot of frosting).  So anyone with sugar issues probably ought to avoid it.  That leaves more for the rest of us.

Exceptionally flavorful cake

*I was given a free sample for my honest opinion* My family ate this cake this evening as part of our end of school year celebration. The kids absolutely loved the sprinkles and that the cake had so many layers. I appreciated the richness of the cake and how it was just right regarding sweetness. This was a win all around and we would definitely purchase it for special and/or random occasions. Don't hesitate to give it a try.

Bring on the Confetti Bar Cake!

We typically love Sams cake, but this was awful! This cake didn't taste like cake at all, it tasted like you were eating a stick of butter. We were both so sick after eating a small piece. I would only suggest buying it if you enjoy eating plain sticks of butter!
