It came in a box had to put it together. Takes a little bit of time but the quality is excellent. The fire pit works fine.

We just put the fire pit together today and were happy with how clear the instructions were. It is easier with two people, since it is heavy. Looks great and was easy to light.

I have it 5 stars because I love it and searched for one, found this to be a great value. Husband said he would go 4/4.5 because it really needs two people to make assembly easier. Love it! Tried to add a photo but kept getting an error message.

It is beautiful and sturdy.  FYI...it is a two person job to put together.  Some parts are heavy, but mostly to hold items in place while you install hardware.
It has also been hard to start, kind of a hit and miss when trying.
DO NOT get this if you want warmth for a chilly evening.  It is really for ambiance only.  I was disappointed when the first chilly evening was finally here and we went out to sit by the fire.  I had to hold my hands above the fire to get any warmth.  
It is nice looking and fits well with our outdoor furniture, just wish it also provided heat.

Purchased a couple weeks ago. Love it. Had to get our own screws. The ones that came with firepit too short and not sturdy.

I bought and built this fire pit recently. Love the look and how easy it was to build. My only complaint is that the metal is extremely easy to bend. There are already 3 bends after just setting it up.

Damaged goods

My husband put ut together.  The packaging seemed fine but my husband said some of the boltholes appeared like it had been put together before.  Its now set up, looks great but won't light.  We tried 2 different bottles of gas just to be sure and 1 was brand new.  It still will not light.  The mechanics of this are not difficult, but gas is not getting to the fire ring.  Our only choice is to return it to Sam's, and its heavy.  We are not happy with our choice.
