Giving Back

Josh Cellars helps provide support to National Volunteer Fire Council. Joseph Carr’s dad, Josh, was a volunteer firefighter, so supporting the men and women who selflessly protect their communities has always been close to our hearts. In the spirit of giving back, Josh Cellars works with World Central Kitchen to provide communities in need with nourishing meals during the holiday seasons. Supporting the military has always been important to Josh Cellars, as our namesake, Josh Carr, served in the U.S. Army. Operation Gratitude is an organization that helps to forge personal connections between the American public and active duty service members, veterans, and first responders by creating opportunities to express gratitude.

About the Company

Josh Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon was created by Joseph Carr and named after his father of the same name who went by the name of Josh. This wine was the first of many by the family-owned wine company after the owner spent over two decades as a sommelier and then an executive in the wine industry. Josh Cellars were launched in 2007 and has consistently sought to represent the best of California in each and every bottle of wine they sell.

White Sangria Recipe

Ingredients

• 1 lb. strawberries, hulled and halved
• 2 limes, sliced
• 2 lemons, sliced
• 2 oranges, sliced
• 1 bottle Josh Cellars Pinot Grigio
• ¼ cup peach schnapps (or peach brandy)
• Club soda
• Fruit ice (optional)

Instructions

1. Add the sliced strawberries, limes, lemons and oranges to a large pitcher. Add ice and then pour in the Josh Cellars Pinot Grigio and the peach schnapps or brandy. Stir and refrigerate for about 3 hours to let the flavors infuse.

2. Add ice to a wine glass, pour in the sangria, about ¾ full, and top with club soda. Garnish with slices of orange and lemon.

3. To make the decorative fruit ice, slice lemons and limes very thinly. Fold a slice into each cavity of a 2” square ice mold, fill with water and freeze overnight.
