We have been using Golden Corral gift cards from Sam's Club for a few years. Definitely a bargain and never had an issue. You can't purchase these (or any gift card) using Sam's Club "Scan and Go." They have to be activated during checkout. Always ask about activation, especially if you're going to give as a gift. Once you leave the checkout nothing can be done by Sam's Club or Golden Corral. That's the same for any gift card. I've gifted and received as a gift and never a problem.

This will be my first time purchasing the $25 GC cards, but I have purchased several of $50 ones. I used them this past weekend. It was the first time I had an issue. I checked the balance before using, as I had some I had used and had a small balance. The lady couldn't get the card reader to read them. We tried several times. I wasn't budging. She had that "Oh well" attitude. My attitude was either it works or my family of 5 is continuing into the dining room. Imagine that she could manually enter the card and it worked. It would be different if it had a zero balance, but these didn't. I have ordered several gift cards from Sams Club and knock on wood, never had an issue. It's a great way to save.
