<h3>Wine</h3> Gnarly Head 1924 Double Black delivers rich aromas of blackberry preserves, cocoa, raspberry and caramel, setting the stage for a juicy core of concentrated, dense blackberry and fig jam flavors that finish with a hint of baking spice. Jet black in the glass, this full-bodied wine pairs well with equally bold dishes: charbroiled bacon cheeseburgers, spicy sausage gumbo or pork baby back ribs slathered in barbecue&nbsp;sauce. <h3>Vineyards</h3> Gnarly Head 1924 Double Black Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted using grapes from select vineyards throughout the Lodi region, an area long known amongst California winemakers as the “Zin-famous” appellation. Lodi’s climate—well-draining sandy soil, warm summer afternoons and cooling nighttime breezes from the Pacific Ocean—is ideal for growing concentrated, full-flavored grapes. <h3>Winemaking</h3> Fruit for this dark Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested during the cool early morning hours and then delivered immediately to the winery. Following de-stemming, the grapes were fermented slowly in stainless steel fermenters and then pressed gently into stainless steel tanks. The wine then racked onto a combination of French and American oak to age for up to nine months to further develop layers of complexity in the final blend.

Ok I cannot say enough about this.  I really do NOT want to review this as I dont want my supply to dwindle as this is a GREAT buy.  My local liquor store sells this for 3 bucks more than Sam's.  There are a few locations that MIGHT have it.  I have to look under the wine display to see if they have it.

The notes of bourbon are amazing.  This is the BEST Cab Sav that I have had outside of Italy.  I normally do NOT like red wine as it is always dry or too bitey.  That said, this one is smooth and can be drank at room temp after being poured into my Eto.  I need to chill one and see how that tastes.  I give these away to family and have gotten everyone HOOKED on this wine.

Best Red EVER (MAYBE)

I was quite surprised by this wine, full bodied great flavor for an excellent price!! This was just a trial bottle but I will definitely back to buy more. I highly recommend this one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately, this wine was not good; it tasted watered down, which I noticed right away. While I understand it isn’t meant to be a sweet wine, the bitterness was overwhelming. I was expecting a fuller-bodied wine with more complex notes, but this one fell short. There are plenty of better options available at a similar price that don’t have this flavor issue. I had higher expectations, especially since it’s labeled as “barrel-aged.” Sadly, I was disappointed by the lack of flavor. Additionally, the cork broke into multiple pieces, which can happen, but it only made my experience worse.
