I found this protein drink by accident. I am a huge fan of sparkling water and as I was looking through all of the milkshake protein drinks, I spotted this one that said sparkling water and had 30 g of protein and I was intrigued. The only complaint I have is that there aren't more flavors to choose from. It comes in a fruit punch which is good in itself, but I would like to have different flavors to drink. But I won't take away any stars because I think it's very delicious and refreshing and I get my protein, too!! What else would you want...except a variety of flavors to drink!!

GREAT PROTEIN DRINK!!

I was surprised to see other reviews that said this clear protein drink was milky and thick.  I don’t find it to be either, but I drink it straight from the can for convenience, so I’m only going by taste and mouth feel rather than appearance.  I do sometimes get a slight chalky aftertaste, but I don’t find it off putting.

It gives me the impression of a fruit punch soda that is a combination of sweet and tart.  I really like the sparkling aspect as it’s very different from the other clear protein drinks I routinely use.  This also has the added benefit of being premixed and doesn’t require shaking.

I of course wish it had a lower price point.  However, I believe it is currently a good value for the price and find it’s price to be similar to or lower than some comparable products.

As someone who likes using protein supplements to help reach my daily protein and calorie goals, this is now my favorite product.

My go-to protein soda!

Very sweet but very good! One of the best protein drinks I’ve tasted! It takes just like regular fruit punch and is very sweet- it could be watered down some to offset the sweetness. A little pricey but great for those who can’t stand the protein shakes!

Delicious

This protein drink is very strong. I have to dilute it in water. Also, I would not recommend drinking too many at once. I had some digestive issues. It may have been a combination of things but still I would not recommend drinking too many close together.

Genius Gourmet Sparkling  Protein Fruit Punch

The taste is similar to the Flintstones chewable multivitamin for kids. There is a thick consistency with the fizziness of the carbonation. I really wanted to try a great clear protein but because of the thickness of the liquid I will not be repurchasing.

Sparking Protein

This isn’t a bad idea just poor execution. The flavor itself isn’t bad but the liquid is so thick that it’s harder to consume than protein milk. If there is a way to change the consistency of the product then it would get 5 stars easily.

Very thick. Hard to drink consistently.

This is my second case of the Sparkling Protein.  The first was really good but this last case was thick and lumpy on the last 1/3 of the can.

Something was off

I had high hopes for Genius Gourmet Sparkling Protein – Fruit Punch, but unfortunately it was one of the worst drinks I’ve ever tried. The flavor is nothing like fruit punch—more like overly sweet chemicals mixed with a strange artificial aftertaste that lingers way too long. The carbonation somehow makes it worse, giving it a chalky, fizzy protein taste that’s just unpleasant.

For a drink that’s supposed to be refreshing, it’s anything but. I could barely finish a few sips before giving up. If you’re expecting something even remotely similar to fruit punch, you’ll be very disappointed. Honestly, it tasted like someone carbonated a melted protein bar and added fake fruit flavoring. Save your money and skip this one. 😖🥤

Fruit Punch Flavor-If it Came from a Chem Lab

Nothing light & refreshing about it. It’s a hard no. The bad thing about trying something new, when you are buying in bulk. I was looking for something lighter than protein shakes, this is certainly not it. Just think of it as the consistency of a protein shake with added foam.

Hard pass!

I purchased this and the Nurri vanilla protein shake to see which protein drink I would prefer.  I started with Nurri which I absolutely love and works great as a coffee creamer.  Then I tried this foul concoction.  It is incredibly tart with a waxy aftertaste.  I muscled through three or four sips before I dumped the rest down the drain.  Then I compared nutritional information from this and the Nurri labels.  Spoiler alert, they're not even close.  Nurri contains a decent amount of calcium and Vitamin D along with good levels of several other minerals.  This "Genius Gourmet" product basically has protein and calories with no other beneficial ingredients.  I'll stick with Nurri, and if a Sam's Club buyer ever reads this, please dump this product and start stocking the Nurri chocolate and strawberry flavors, please and thanks!
