About this item

Product details

Before purchasing tires, make sure to use our Tire Finder to select the right fit for your vehicle.

Cooper introduces the Discoverer Stronghold AT. Strong and Durable, and backed by a 60,000 mile warranty, this tire will last until the job is done! Strategically designed tread lugs help to resist cracking, tearing, and rounding of the tread. Ledges between the lugs help prevent stones getting stuck in tread. The Stronghold is protected from demanding environments. A specialized rubber compound and wide lateral grooves help plow through water, providing maximum traction.

Solid Traction in Dirt and Gravel
Wide open grooves in the tread grab and release soft surfaces, while the narrower center grooves help to provide stability.

Strength that Lasts the Test of Time
Strong shoulder design features such as scooped tread edges, wide tread grooves, and sidewall hook pattern all help provide grip and traction for the life of the tire.

Great Snow Traction
Textured edges on the shoulders grab into snow to help provide traction in harsh winter conditions.

Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake Designation
Tires designed for use in severe snow conditions and meet specific snow performance test requirements.

Never buy Cooper Stronghold for 3/4 ton trucks

Have had these tires back in Sam's Automotive to be balanced 3 times. The 3rd time they replaced one of the tires that would not balance for a small fee. Tires had less than 5000 miles on them. I still have at least one more that's badly out of balance. Service Technician said this is common with the larger Cooper Tires. Would have been good to know before I purchased them. Have to schedule another appointment and argue with them again that there's another balance issue.

Poor Service

When I inquired about these tires, I asked if new bolt in metal valve stems could be installed when the tires were mounted. I was told that it would be no problem. I purchased the tires and scheduled the installation. When I arrived at the installation appointment, I was told that Sam's did not have bolt in valve stems and wouldn't try to get the them. I cancelled the order and purchased the same tires at another tire store that could provide the valve stems that I required. I believe that it is poor customer service to agree to a customer's request and then refuse it after the customer has taken their time to show up for their scheduled appointment. I have purchased numerous sets of tires from Sam's in the past, but will be very hesitant to do so in the future.
