Cooper Road + Trail AT - 225/65R17 102H Tire

Put a set of 4 x 225/65/R17 on my 2021 Subaru Outback when one of my original tires got an unfixable slow leak (afer only 25,000 mi). Wanted something which would be good on the road but which I could also use to occasionally drive over gravel and rocky roads without worry. Folks on the internet seemed to indicate this was the best tire for that purpose, even though it wasn't the most expensive. Ordered these the Saturday evening before Thanksgiving, and they arrived the Friday after (4 business days). Got them installed that day, in under an hour. The Coopers seem to be mostly as good as the OEM Yokohamas on the road. They feel less stiff and have a tiny bit more bounciness after going over bumps, and there is a tiny bit more noise over a few types of road surfaces at various speeds (when noticeable, usually only above 60mph, but depends on surface), but I would still characterize the ride as very smooth and quiet overall. They also require a little more steering to keep them going on a straight path, but it's not a huge deal. The tires seem to grip the dry road well, and I've had no issues in the rain either, but I haven't driven these in heavy storm conditions yet or done any driving requiring much evasive maneuvering. On gravel roads, the tires ride smoothly, and they pick up far fewer rocks than the OEM tires. I can't tell if there's been any impact on mileage yet. I would expect the heavier tires and greater tread depth to give me fewer miles per gallon, but so far, i don't think i've been filling up any more than usual, and the standard display doesn't show average mileage going down, but I haven't done any actual calculations. So based on a few hundred miles of driving, I'm happy with my new tires (so far).

These tires are great. Mounted on my 2015 Toyota RAV4 XLE AWD. They are much quieter on the road than the previous Pirelli Scorpion All Terrains I had on the car. The Coopers cost a little more but are worth it for the reduction in road noise.
