Our Home in the Delta

Clarksburg is a sleepy community of neighbors and farmers. Dense clay soils and cooling breezes from the Sacramento River combine to make the Delta a remarkable place to grow all sorts of things, especially wine grapes.

History

Though the Bogle family has been farming in the Clarksburg region for six generations, their involvement in the wine business spans back 50 years. In addition to passing down a strong work ethic and dedication to quality, the success of Bogle over the years is rooted in the day-to-day involvement of the Bogle family. We understand that nurturing the land and preserving its vitality is not only essential for our family, but across the globe, so that future generations can enjoy many harvests for centuries to come.

Sustainability

We are proud to be honored with the 2018 Green Medal Leader Award, which recognizes the vineyard that best demonstrates environmentally sound, socially equitable and economically viable sustainability practices. Bogle is also certified by the California Rules for Sustainable Winegrowing. To reduce our energy consumption, we utilize a photovoltaic solar system to power much of our winery. During construction of the winery, we used green building materials that helped reduce energy usage. We take pride in the implementation of our water reuse and recycling program. For tank cleaning and barrel washing, we use high-efficiency nozzles and a water recapture and recirculation system. In early 2022, we began introducing new, lighter glass bottles that cut packaging weight by 10%.
