The reputation is accurate. Not a wise purchase.

I had heard that purchasing protection policies from this company was unwise. Being someone who prefers to enter into business dealings with entities based on my own experiences, rather than others' warnings, I decided to obtain the protection plans for my items, expecting the best. Unfortunately, my experience was exactly as others had warned. The company found a way to avoid covering my purchase, which effectively renders the service useless for its intended purpose. It seems to be a strategy to collect the cost of the plan without any intention of providing coverage in the unfortunate event it is needed.

Allstate insurance

I purchased this in December for my kids iPads for their Christmas gift. One has a cracked screen and try to call the number for the insurance and no response or any one to actually pick up. Rate should be a zero!
