We bought this smaller model to replace an old large upright freezer that wasn’t energy efficient. I wanted to move the freezer out of the garage and into the laundry room for convenience. So far so good! It holds more than I thought. We even have some of our grandkids breast milk stockpile and still plenty of room for all the other stuff. We needed to change the door swing and the process was very simple. I wasn’t sure how I felt initially about not having shelves on the door, but I think I like it. Having lots of shelves provides room to keep things organized.

Small but well laid out

When I saw this small freezer in Sams, I got excited.  I could tell it was the perfect size to fit in my breakfast nook.  Now I can keep frozen items "in the house" instead of just "down in the garage".  I bought it a few weeks ago and it is working great and saving me many steps!

I read all the (mostly) crappy reviews about the poor function of the freezer, so I was prepared for the worst and bought it anyway.  We left it sitting upright for 24 hours like one buyer said in her review.  Plugged it in and turned it on, so far so good.  It does get hot on the side of the freezer, so I'll see how that goes and keep an eye on it.  We wanted this so we can stop going to the store so much and freeze the necessities that we use all the time.  So far I only have fruit, veggies and bread in the freezer to make sure it works good.  I'll update if I have anything else to say.  It is a cute little freezer and small enough where it doesn't take up too much space so it's perfect for what we need it for.

Pandemic Freezer

Great extra freezer for in the kitchen, and possibly the garage as well. This fits perfect in an unused nook we had in our kitchen, and gives us extra freezer space for when I go meat crazy on sales.

Once I had it set up I let it sit for a day before plugging it in to a dedicated circuit. After plugging it up, I waited three hours and when I checked it with an infrared thermometer, it was at -6 degrees F through out the freezer.

It DOES get warm on the sides, but that's normal. The compressor on this little gem is so quiet (How quiet is it anyways?) that to make sure it is running, I have to put my hand on it.

I haven't tried it in a garage but it says you can use it there. I'm happy with it where it is.

Well worth the $299 plus tax that we spent for it. And it has self leveling feet and you can change which way it opens with just a Philips screwdriver.

Keeps your food nice and frozen.

I saw a few negative reviews but took a chance due to low price point. Perfect condition out of the box. Was cold enough to transfer contents of my small chest freezer in about 3 hours. I would recommend this product at this early ownership stage. Never buy a chest freezer.

Great little freezer

It's a great freezer. I gave it 4 stars because it is supposed to be a reversible door, but the part that you have to switch was not working when I tried to reverse it. I had to wait about 3 weeks for the part to come in after I contacted customer service. I switched the door without any issues after that.

I would buy again

I bought this a month ago and have already had to replace it.  It arrived with terrible dents all over it and had a piece of the metal on the side bent terribly.  I received a second one with the front plastic piece on the bottom broken and this one only had one dent.  I was very disappointed in the appearance but so far the product does what it is supposed to.  But just has dents.

Our freezer arrived at our door on the day Sam's said it would.  I unboxed and inspected it.  Perfect condition.  I set it where we wanted it and levelled it up.  Then I let it sit unplugged overnight to insure the compressor oil had settled completely.  Plugged it in and it has worked quietly and perfectly for @ six weeks now.  No frost buildup yet.  I am pleased with my choice and purchase.

COLD!!

We received the freezer with many dents and dings. The one foot was bent completely sideways and even hammering it only helped a bit. It’s not bad for the price and I think if the shippers were more careful then it would have come in better shape. It does create a TON of fuzzy ice inside the door and on the edges inside and it has to be scraped daily or it gets too built up. Won’t let me add photos. Will try again later.

It’s a decent freezer for the prices

Absolutely terrible, it took a week longer to arrive, arrived badly dented, customer service was awful, they wanted me to bring it back in instead of picking it back up and then said they were out of stock. Just an awful experience and definitely didn't feel like an appreciated customer.
