So I was reading the reviews to see if I should buy this set 
and , half of the reviews said it fell apart if you look at it the wrong way (Well not really but that's the jest of it). 
 So I had to buy the set to see if these reviews were valid or just trolls, (They were trolls)  and I'm so glad that did cues' this set is AMAZING!!! I love it so much, the only down side is that it took me 7 hours to build but I think that's just me, anyways the build is really well made and, only a few joints were loose meanly the foot. The head is so cute and its my favorite part.

This set... like WOW!

LEGO

Bought my two sons (aged 7 and 8) a Pikachu each. They absolutely loved the build! At times, we felt it was a little flimsy—for example, the foot is only attached by two pieces and you have to balance Pikachu just right to get him to stand. However, all in all, we are very happy with it.
My son does have a question for Lego: "Why does the Lego Pikachu have a brain, but not a heart?"

Love the build - 7yr old has a question

I love the wide variety of colored pieces that stay hidden inside this set. I also really liked the the ways the sections fit together as I have never built a set that used these type of connections as far as the Pikachu is concerned. Went together pretty quickly and is now the star on the shelf its displayed on!

An awesome set for an iconic pokemon

As the world’s biggest Pokémon fan, I was ecstatic when I found out that LEGO was releasing a Pokémon line. After building Eevee, I had high expectations for Pikachu. LEGO definitely didn’t let me down. Pikachu looks amazing once complete and is extremely detailed. The display stand and lighting bolts add some pizazz to the set. The set does have a decent amount of repetition considering Pikachu is symmetrical. I do wish that you could display it off the display stand. But, overall, I really enjoyed this set. Can’t wait to build the big one.

The build is normal and it's wonderful to see Pikachu come together piece by piece... Until the pieces fall off! 
I wanted to love this set, and I do, but the design is seriously lacking stability. 
The feet and arms will fall apart with the slightest touches in the wrong spot. I've had to resort to super gluing the pieces to together to stop the frustration. 
The balance is off terribly; even with the stand, it's still delicate. Feels unstable in any position. 
Ultimately, the set gets an A plus for satisfying the nostalgia, but a C for execution. 
I still recommend, but buy some glue if you don't want to reassemble the same section repeatedly.

Look, but DO NOT touch

I really enjoyed building this set, however I did think there were some design flaws. It was a pain to have to balance Pikachu when the stand was not built until after. When assembling the full body, the back, neck and feet came off and had to be re-assembled. The toes were not too stable either which I was not a fan of.

This was an averall amazing build. However, it is not matching the actual pokemon show as pickachu is the only pokemon that doest use a ball. The LEGO designers should watch the show for whatever they are designing first before designing the actual build.

I was excited that LEGO had attained the right to make sets for Pokémon because of the wealth of material they had to work with. But my excitement dropped even time I had to put the eyes or arms or legs or tail back together. The Pikachu assembly itself was extremely fragile with large pieces being held on by a single attachment point. I was so happy when the Pikachu was done so I could set it on the other side of the room (gently) and work on the sturdier base. I will say out of hundreds of sets I’ve built it’s one of very few with this issue.

For Display One - Too Fragile To Be Touched

I’ve been building Lego sets for years and this is genuinely one of the most frustrating sets I’ve ever attempted. It’s super unstable and falls apart extremely easily. I’ve had to completely rebuild the whole thing three times now and I still can’t seem to get it to stay without breaking. Please help!

these first Pokemon sets were initially disappointing but now knowing all of the new Pokemon sets are just low quality slop makes it even more sad that there is no enjoyment to found in something that was initially very exiting
