Each tamale is made from only fresh ingredients and is hand rolled in a fresh corn husk. Tamales feature a 50/50 filling to masa ratio giving you the best flavor punch with each bite.&nbsp; Tamales are fully cooked and heating process is simple making them a great weeknight meal or party food to take to your next event. <h3>Heating Directions</h3> Stove (preferred method): Place unopened boil bag(s) of tamales in boiling water or steamer for 15-20 minutes from frozen and 10-15 minutes if thawed. Only 4 or 5 inches of water is necessary as the tamales heat in the bag.&nbsp; Microwave: Best if thawed prior to heating. Poke a couple of holes in the boil bag(s) or make a slit. Microwave 3-5 minutes depending on the strength of microwave.&nbsp; Caution: Bag and contents will be hot, allow time to cool before handling. Delicious! The filling is generous and my family voted these their favorite tamales of all time. Taste as good as the homemade tamales we have purchased over the past few decades. Great value for the price

Best tamales ever

I'm going to be so mad if these get taken out of the stores because I've bought them 2 or 3 times so far and given some away to family.  They are boil in bag so they're really easy to make for lunch or a really fast dinner.  I know they're not *homemade* but for a premade tamale, I think they've got great flavor.

Quick & Fast

Delicious tamales. Full of tender pork & highly seasoned in a good way. They are a bit greasy but fat is flavor. Tremendous value. I hope Sam's continues to carry them because I will continue to buy them! Love!!

The perfect spice level. Incredibly tasty. We love them! Better than most Mexican restaurants in my town.

Delicious

The tamales were delicious. Can't wait to get more. My kids loved them too, not to spicy and great amount of sauce and flavor. Easy to cook in boiling water and reheat well in the microwave for leftovers.

Tamales

These tamales had a nice flavor.  They had an undertone of heat; not too much for this sensitive mouth.  A little sour cream helps.  They were easy to heat up.

Wow!  Sorry mom, but these are the best tamales I think i have ever had. I am Hispanic and have been eating tamales my whole life and these are excellent. They are so full of flavor and are not overwhelmed by the masa. They are super stuffed and just two are enough for a meal. I will most certainly buy more.

Wow!  Delicious!

The flavors were on point! The portions were larger than I expected. Very filling, and an excellent ratio of filling to massa. The meat was tender and well-seasoned. The packaging was good, but it was clear how oily the contents were as there was a thick layer of oil coating the inside of each boil-in-bag pouch.

I prepared 4 in the microwave, but ended up only eating 2 in one sitting. I refrigerated the other 2 for later.  The meat tasted excellent, the only issue I hat was finding solid pieces of cartilage and other mystery bits in the filling. It was clear to be homemade and very authentic to homemade. It did not necessarily spoil my appetite for the food however it did have me question quality control to some degree. 

The others were fine and really did not have much of cartilage or any other external items in the filling. The only thing about finding those pieces in it is that I would be hesitant to give these to my small children as there may be pieces they could choke on. Of course meat is meat, and as long as we know everything is all natural and playerful there really should not be a problem.

Overall I give it a 5 out of 5 bought due to the oiliness and the issue with the cartilage joint piece that I found, it was a little off putting and I removed one star from the overall rating.

 I'm sure with increased quality control these issues can be resolved.

Great homemade style tamales!

Needed a more meat  on the tamales, it had too much masa and chili than pork . Also the taste was more commercial than actual homemade taste. I've taste better store bought tamales with a better taste.

Needs more taste

The filling is not good quality. Had grisly pieces of meat in it. We could barely eat one. Wish I could get a refund because the rest will probably be tossed.  We can’t stomach the idea of eating them.
