About this item
In 2012 Dan Frament opened Muddaddy Flats in a tiny storefront in downtown Troy, New York. After working in corporate jobs for decades, an opportunity to open his own business and be his own boss presented itself. Armed with a small retirement fund and a whole lot of determination Dan took that opportunity. In two short years Muddaddy Flats out grew that tiny spot and relocated to a storefront three times the size a few blocks away. Since then Muddaddy Flats has continued to grow, winning numerous awards, creating a nationally recognized event (National Quesadilla Day) and establishing a mobile version of the restaurant to be a part of the City of Troy’s festivals and events.
