The patented POWER PET™ electronic pet doors don’t just lock and unlock. They are motor driven and fully-automatic to open completely under their own power. The motorized, translucent door panel is made of a new, super-strength, bulletproof, military-grade, resin. It won’t break, crack or discolor, even in extreme heat and cold. Activated by your pet’s tiny ultrasonic collar, the air-tight panel quickly and quietly powers upward, disappearing into the stylish housing.

Motorizing the panel has many benefits. Because the panel moves up and down and does not swing out, it can be mounted in hermetically sealed grooves for absolutely air-tight closure, resulting in the best insulated pet door made. In fact, POWER PET™ doors insulate better than the best dual-flap pet doors, protecting against extreme cold and windy conditions. Mounting the rigid panel in grooves also makes it impossible for an intruder to kick it out. There's one, and only one way, the panel can be opened. It must slide upward. An auto-locking, steel dead-bolt makes that impossible without engaging the motor. Try as they might, intruders, human or animal, cannot gain entry through these superior and ingeniously designed doors.

POWER PET™ doors also feature a patented directional sensing system that opens the panel only when your pet is on a direct approach, not when he is just wandering by, sitting or sleeping next to the door. Dual range controls let you set independent inside and outside activation distances. Four-way access control lets you select from In Only, Out Only, Full Access or Closed & Locked. The POWER PET™ door may be operated on AC house current with the included AC wall adapter. An optional, auto-recharging back-up battery (item# 454608) can operate the door in the case of a power outage. You may remove the AC wall connection and operate the door with the battery only by adding the optional battery charger kit (item# 306534).
