The Director’s wines were created to honor Francis Ford Coppola’s two great loves: wine and film. The Director's Great Movies are a limited edition to the portfolio inspired by directors and movies that Francis holds in greatest admiration. The Director’s Great Movies wine labels feature reproductions of retro-futuristic movie posters by Laurent Durieux, an artist much admired by Francis.

Francis Coppola Director's Great Movie Label Duet Pack is a limited-edition pack featuring two bottles of highly-acclaimed Francis Ford Coppola wines. Inspired by directors and movies that Francis Coppola holds in greatest admiration, this duet pack includes the 2015 Wizard of Oz Merlot and the 2015 King Kong Cabernet Sauvignon.

In the 2015 Wizard of Oz Merlot, Francis pairs the beloved classic film with an embracing Merlot. Both offer artistry that makes the finished work a bit magical. Just as The Wizard of Oz is a classic film that entertains time and again, this Merlot is full of juicy ripe fruit, a silky texture and a finish of mocha and gingerbread that will keep you coming back for more.

In the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon, Francis pairs the bold film classic King Kong with an iconic Cabernet Sauvignon. Like the name suggests, the King Kong Cabernet Sauvignon offers big, bold flavors and a dramatic finish. This is a particularly powerful wine with luscious flavors of black raspberries and plum, and a complex finish of tobacco and baking spices. The final wine, like King Kong, is dark and intriguing.
