What Are the Specifications of the Dogtek EF-4000B25 Electronic Dog Fence System with 2 Collars?

The Dogtek system may be one of the best electric dog fences because it is a complete and easy to use system that you can do yourself. It contains a state-of-the-art transmitter, which allows you to set up two adjustable warning zones. The included Energizer battery has a 6-month life span, and the waterproof collars allow for 8 varied levels of static correction. You can use the 500 feet of wire to create your perimeter by placing it on the ground, burying it or attaching it to an existing fence or barrier. If you need more than 500 feet, an additional perimeter wire can be purchased separately. Many say it is the best fence for dogs because it is compatible with all types of weather and environments. You can use it in warm or cool climates, and it works equally well in open and wooded areas. If you have more than two dogs, you can purchase additional receiver collars. In fact, there is no limit to the number of collars that can be used within a given perimeter.

How Does the Electric Dog Fence Work?

As the dog wearing the waterproof receiving collar approaches the designated warning zone, a beep will sound on the collar. If the dog proceeds to the perimeter wire, the collar will give small electrical impulses until the dog turns and returns to the "safe zone."
