Description

Goetze's® Caramel Creams® "Bulls-Eyes" have become a delicious favorite for candy lovers everywhere. Consisting of chewy caramel surrounding a tasty sweet cream, Goetze caramel satisfies your cravings. A popular candy for several generations, these caramel candies are still attracting new fans.

What Makes These Caramel Creams Different?

Because they are made with wheat, this caramel candy with a cream center is chewy, not sticky. The caramel candy's white filling is a delicious cream. Having been around for so long, Goetze's Caramel Creams Bulls-Eyes bring back childhood memories for generations of people. Whether you push out the cream center, eat the caramel first and save the cream for last, or enjoy both tastes in one bite, everybody has a favorite way to eat this classic caramel cream candy.

Can You Cook With Goetze's Caramel Creams Bulls-Eyes?

Try Goetze's popular caramel cream candy in recipes that call for caramel, from cakes and baked goods, to candy crafts, savory recipes and holiday or party food. Visit the company site (CaramelCreams.com) and find recipes for Caramel-Filled Brownies, Bulls-Eye French Toast, Caramel Lemon Bars and even Caramel Apple Pizza.

History of Goetze's Caramel Creams

Goetze's Candy story began in 1895 with August Goetze and his son William, when August, who had been an engraver, producing many printing plates for the Baltimore Chewing Gum Company, bought the poorly-performing business for his son. In 1909, another generation got involved, as William's son, R. Melvin Goetze, Sr., joined the company. When World War I began, despite commodity shortages, the family business carried on developing new confections. In 1917, Melvin began making "chuees" (Caramel Creams® without the center) in his family's kitchen. Caramel Creams were developed soon after and were released the following year, in 1918. By the 1940s, the popular caramel and cream candy became the sole product, with the company finally renamed from Baltimore Chewing Gum Company to Goetze's Candy Company.

In addition to the original caramel creams, Caramel Creams Bulls-Eyes now come in a wide variety of flavors: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, black licorice and apple.
