Vibrant Color During Day & Crisp Night Vision

We had a Night Owl 1080p Wireless but when we wold zoom in it looked like an 8 Bit Pixel 1980's video game. We got the Wisenet 4K Ultra HD DVR Surveillance System and the zoom looks much better. We can actually see it is a human or a pet or a vehicle when zoomed in. We have it on our 40 inch 1080p TV, so yes there is a difference in using a 1080p camera on a 1080p TV and using a 4K camera on a 1080p TV. The DVR unit still records in 4K, but we view it in 1080p on our TV and view it in 480p or 720p on our cellphones or tablets. We can view over our home WI-FI network at home anywhere in range of the WI-FI on our 10 inch tablet and also on our cellphones. We can also view it using our cellular data on our cellphones at home or anywhere as long as we have cellular 4G or higher service. I can set it up to rotate thorough the cameras(1 sec, 2 sec, 3 sec, 4 sec, 5 sec ((I use 1 Second)) or show all of them or show half of them and click on the side edge of the screen with the mouse and it will show the other half of the cameras. SO I can switch back and forth, I usually have it on all cameras on screen and click on the one I want to view but when I have it on rotate it is set to 1 second per camera a 6 to 10 seconds to get back to that a camera view is to long. Just to say on the 1080p camera system we had, zoomed in we could not tell if it was human, animal or auto, but with this we can tell. Even on a 1080p 40 inch TV. So you do not need a 4K TV to get the benefit of better looking zoom. We are so glad Sam's Wholesale Warehouse sells Wisenet in the 4K as we almost purchased a different brand, but found Wisenet at Sam's. Wisenet has been making surveillance systems for many decades as they were founded in 1977 in South Korea. Hanwha Techwin, founded as Samsung Techwin, is a surveillance and optoelectronics company. It is a subsidiary of Hanwha Group. The company employs 4,501 people and is headquartered in South Korea. You should know the name Samsung. We wanted a reliable company product and we were very happy to know Wisenet is based on Samsung and Hanwha dependability standards. Nothing is always perfect so this is why it is smart to buy based on reliability and longevity. For Your Information: We still had to run wires to the Wireless Cameras we had in the old 1080p camera system because how else do you get power to the cameras? Wireless Cameras are WI-FI view to the DVR, but you still have to get them power. Unless you get a system with batter power cameras. Most are wire powered though so we still had to run wires so this time we went with wired 4K system and are very content with the choice.

Remote Playback on PC requires Cloud Acct!

My company put these in all our stores. 34 Stores to be exact. The camera view is great if you are viewing locally and want to review security footage locally. If you want to view them remotely DO NOT BUY. When we started installing these you could remote view through internet explorer or the Wiseview Client that has now been phased out. You now have to PURCHASE a cloud account to watch more than 1 camera and you can no longer view using a full featured app on a PC. Samsung has blocked access to the program that gives you the same functionality as being right in front of it. They got greedy. Now we are removing all these systems from our stores and installing a different system that lets us Remote View and Playback without paying a fee per store/per camera. Tip if you used to use the WiseView App on your phone and now it will not let you connect, then you have to download the Wisenet Life App to get it to work. Sign up for the free account then you can view your cameras on your phone. They have blocked access to these newer model systems on Wiseview App. I can no longer recommend Any samsung security camera to any of our Franchisees. As long as they are only allowing you to Playback through their cloud service on a PC these Systems are useless. You can playback on your phone using the Wisenet Life App but viewing video from a previous day on a phone is really a hassle. In the end these systems used to be good. Now because of their business model they are worthless.

Our systems do not require a paid cloud account to access remotely. Signing up for a cloud account is free. Viewing and playback of events on the Wisenet Life account are free. The cloud service is an optional service we provide for this who would like an additional length of time for storing videos for two of their cameras.

Worked great when it worked.

I bought this dvr around 6 months ago. It just stopped working. I contacted support and they directed me on how to get warranty service, after submitting request it said that the unit was out of warranty. I resubmitted request with proof of purchase and still said out of warranty. I contacted support and the rep said it might take a couple days for someone to get back to me. I contacted support again he saw the receipt that I sent and pushed the request thru. I mailed the dvr to them a week ago. So far have not received anything from the depot acknowledging receipt of the dvr, but my usps receipt says that they received it. I called the depot phone number on the repair request several time but could not get anyone on the phone. I called support again and they said that if I have not heard anything in two weeks to call them back that Covid is slowing down everything which I understand. Last dvr that I had with them was fixed and returned in a few days. I know covid has a lot to do with the slow responses but I would think they would at least acknowledge receipt of the DVR. I am very disappointed so far in the service that I'm receiving

Terrible system

The system quit working within 30 days of purchase. I sent the unit to the repair facility over two months ago. If they are this backed up with repairs you should really consider a different product and company.
