This is by far the worst can chicken I've tasted. It had a slight iff smell. When I tasted it, it tasted exactly how rubber gloves smell. I did try to doctor it up with spices and condiments but it had a strange after taste. I had figured it was just a cheap option and with all the good reviews, I was being too picky. No I couldn't handle it. Asked my household to give it a try and smell. They too said it tasted off. We opened another can and it was exactly the same but this time we could smell the off scent stronger. It smells just like it tasted... medical rubber gloves with that powder inside of them. Nasty! What a waste of money.

However, after emptying the entire can into a bowl and weighing the actual chicken, it came out to only 211g. That is a 143g difference from what the label suggests. For a product sold by weight and serving size, that is not a small discrepancy — it is a serious issue. Customers should be able to trust that the amount printed on the label reflects what they are actually receiving. The product itself tastes good, but this feels deceptive and unfair to consumers. At the very least, the company needs to correct the labeling or explain why the actual contents are so far below what the can claims. ...

anonymous - 1 out of 5 stars review3/1/2026The product quality is good. I was enjoying the product until I weighed what was in a can. Each can is SUPPOSED TO BE 12.5oz OF CHICKEN! It's not. I opened the can and just drained the fluid (did not press it), and I dumped the chicken into a bowl (after zeroing the scale with the empty bowl), and its only 7.72 oz chicken?? Like why would you do that Sam's Club? I am so disappointed. I am returning the unused cans to Sam's and getting my money back. I do not recommend this product until Sam's gets the full 12.5oz chicken in there. Wow.

Also in that same order was a case of mushrooms they arrived without an issue. Sam’s need to package items better for shipping. Never had a problem with online ordering prior to this issue. I’m concerned that Sam’s never got back to me when I contacted them. I guess customer service is a thing of the past.
