Stopped working

I've been purchasing Mr. Coffee Coffee Makers for decades and never had a anything but great reviews and results. Mine finally died after 12 years so it was time for a replacement. I decided on this model as it's red, square and fits under my cabinet. I brew 4 cups a day so its not like it got a great deal of us and someday don't use it at all. Though if not for health reasons I would brew a pot or two a day. Wednesday I brewed my morning coffee and it was fine though not a hot as it had been it was on the rather cool side. Yesterday I decided it needed to be clean and did the usual water to vinegar solutions and click the clean button. Nothing happened! The water just sat in the reservoir and never started the process or started to drip. I dumped the water/vinegar out, poured it back in and hit brew this time and the same thing happened. So here I sit without a coffee brewer that works after only light use and 3 months old. Needless I am not happy.

NOT WORTH THE PRICE

I bought this a few months ago and was happy with it but it just quit brewing. The lights turn on but nothing happens. Tried reseating the basket and the carafe to no avail. Will not work when just turned on, auto brew or clean! First Mr. Coffee ever that I was not pleased with.

Thought it was good

This is my second coffee maker both exactly the same. I just thought it was a fluke when the first one died. I loved the features so I bought another one. This time within a year after the second stopped working too. They both had same problem . It just stopped brewing and the plate wouldn't get hot. I'm so disappointed. I love the features and the color but I need one that will last awhile.

Dies faster than a goldfish

We have now laid our 2nd Mr Coffee maker to rest. He died quietly this morning while trying to brew coffee before the sun rose. All he would give me was one last click and that was it. Our 1st maker did that as well. It is quite disappointing when you spend quite a bit if money on a coffee maker and within a year it dies on you. I've always loved Mr Coffee brand but they need to step up the game on their programmable coffee makers. I have a tea maker that had outlasted all my coffee makers.

Second Mr. Coffee within 18 months that broke

Woke up this morning, expecting my usual morning pre-set brewed coffee..nothing. Tried to start it, it attempted to start and then beeped like it was done..nothing. So frustrating, I don't remember where I bought it but it wasn't more than 12 months. Had to use my French press (thank god I had that) On to a different brand I guess

Good Machine but only worked for 2 years.

Bought this Coffee Maker two years ago for my rental condo. It has worked well until the past few days. Sometimes it won't start immediately but then starts some minutes later. The delay setting is zero. This morning, it wouldn't start at all, although the correct lights were on. It just beeps 5 times but nothing happens. Very disappointing.

2nd one that just quit after 3 months

I bought this last one just 3 months back and it worked great until I woke up Sunday morning to no coffee! This is the 2nd one I have bought within a year. I though after the first one quit that I just had bad luck. But nope this thing is a pile. Sorry Mr. Coffee this is the worst i've ever bought :(

The 1st Mr. coffee I bought. what a mistake

This is the first Mr. coffee I bought. I thought you can't go wrong buying a Mr. coffee. I guess I was wrong. I had it for two months before stop working just like it has done for so many other Coffee drinkers. If you have these many failures makes me wonder if someone didn't 't know about this and still send a bad product. I can understand if I had the coffee make for 5 years and it stop working but two months. I am also very disappointed.

Shuts off after brewing

I've used this coffee maker for about 2 months, weekends only. It has been shutting off after a while and then I can not turn it back on, even though the pot is not empty. This morning, the coffee brewed and shut off immediately. I've unplugged it and plugged it back in. I've tried unplugging it and waiting for a minute, then plugging it back. Still nothing. I've always liked Mr. Coffee. Guess I should have NOT bought the more expensive, fancy machine and just stayed with their cheaper machines.

Disappointed, Not the Mr Coffee quality I expected

I replaced a 10 year old programmable Mr Coffee machine that I loved, which is why I wanted to stick with a new Mr Coffee. I read reviews on this new unit and saw very mixed reviews, but decided to give it a try. I am somewhat disappointed. * My first complaint is the length of the cord is only 18". It is barely enough room for me to pull out to edge of counter to fill. The instructions suggest extension cord if needed, but I don't want a 3 or 4-foot extension cord curled up on my counter either. The cord on my old Mr Coffee was 30 inches which was perfect, why cut down to 18"? * The clock is not lit. My old Mr Coffee had a back light on the clock so I could see it in dimly light kitchen. Even with all the kitchen lights on, it is hard to see the grey LCD display. * The handle on the carafe is not very stable, it shifts every time I pick up the carafe and I am afraid it is going to fall off. * The overflow holes on the back are right at that 12 cup line, no room for the slightest variation. Even when using the carafe to fill exactly 12 cups, dumping the water in the holding tank it sloshes around and ends up splashing out of the overflow holes as it fills. I usually use the sprayer from the sink instead of the carafe to fill the holding tank, that creates a lot of waves from the pressure of the water and I have to stop at 8 cups because of the water sloshing around and leaking out of the overflow holes. There should be a little room for variance as in my old Mr Coffee which also had a 12 cup tank, but I never had water leaking out of the overflow holes. Upon looking at my old one, I realized that the overflow holes had room for slight variance and didn't start leaking unless you got closer to 14 cups. * The overwhelming smell of plastic took a while to get rid of. I saw someone in another review complained about their coffee tasting like electric parts, I think they were tasting the plastic resin. I washed all the plastic parts and ran water thru a brew cycle as directed in the directions and it still smelled horrible of plastic. So I ran a second brew thru and it still smelled. I went ahead and brewed a pot of coffee and it tasted like plastic. So I ran vinegar and water thru the clean cycle, then two brew cycles of water. The next morning my coffee tasted better, but still a bit of that plastic smell. After another 2 or 3 days of brewing coffee, the taste has pretty much gone away. Overall I am disappointed because the quality doesn't seem to be the same as my old Mr Coffee unit.
