I admit. I have a jacket fetish and amassed a too-large collection from the best names out there - Columbia, North Face, Woolrich, (too much) Barbour, etc, Avalanche. I came across this gem at Sam's next to my office because it was cheap (retail tag is $120 and now I believe it - found it on line all the way up to that), I was working late again and it started to rain sleet and I didn't have a water proof coat with me and thought that if it didn't work out I would bring it back the next day. It also looked very decent (the color was more seafoam than the blue here so perhaps it's just the picture anomaly) and would do great as an office back-up. At any rate, the inside of this jacket has a neat quilting, stitching is really solid, just a very good looking coat and quality made. Normally I wear S-M (130/5'9") but all they had was a L and it's fine - just more room for a sweater. The model in the photo must be a petite - I have normal length arms and it hits me at the wrist, not below like on her. The quilting inside has an interesting perlescent tone and I suspect it's that weird heat reflective coating ZX uses in some of its line - the jacket really does hold the heat beautifully - I put it on inside my cool office over an athletic top in lieu of a sweater and had to take it off because it got too warm. I pulled it on before heading into the parking lot - the rain picked up and wind, getting strong and cold. BAM! Nothing gets through that sucka. I only had a light sweater on and at about 45 degrees got almost too warm. Went back inside immediately and bought the last S and L in black as next year's Christmas gifts and just ordered one for a friend in VT. This jacket will be a workhorse, the hood is really neat - it's actually more structured than most other jackets similar to this one I own and it adds to the value. So, for all the jacket snobs - get it, you will not regret it. Right now on line there is L available for $24.99 and it would not let me check out immediately as no inventory but it worked after I cleared cookies and added it in again so get it while you can. :)
