We're sorry to hear that you're not a fan of the scent. While we did recently change the name of the scent from Refreshing Rain to Fresh Rain, no changes were made to the scent itself. We do have a variety of Dawn versions available if you'd like to try out a different scent. We're very sorry to learn of your experience with Dawn Platinum Refreshing Rain Dishwashing Liquid. Please know, your safety is our top priority, and all our products are thoroughly evaluated to be safe when used as directed. We hope your headache has subsided and we recommend discontinuing use of this dish soap to avoid any further reactions. All this being said, we're not sure what new scent you're referring to since the formula of Dawn Platinum Refreshing Rain hasn’t changed since June, 2022. We did however update the name of the scent, dropping the “re”, so it’s now just “Dawn Platinum Fresh Rain”. In regard to the scent lingering, we wouldn't expect this to be your experience either, however, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. To remove the scent/taste, please soak the dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added.
