We're sorry to hear that a loyal Dawn fan like you had this experience, since our Dawn Platinum Fresh Rain has been thoroughly evaluated to be safe when used as directed. We also have many quality checks in place to ensure that you can enjoy the best possible results with our products, and a lot of thought goes into creating features that we think you'll like. We'd like to mention that while our Dawn Platinum Refreshing Rain now goes by Dawn Platinum Fresh Rain, no scent change has taken place. This was a name change only. As well, we've made no changes to the formula. If you live in area with hard water, you may have to use more dishwashing liquid. Another cause of dishwashing liquid not cleaning effectively is the water temperature being too low. Water should be 105 to 115°F (40.56 to 46.11°C). We hope this information is helpful, and your comments will be passed along. We do recommend that you discontinue use of this particular product if this has been your experience, and we suggest giving another Dawn version a try.
