However, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it's possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. Do not soak porous items; wash immediately and rinse thoroughly. We hope this is helpful.
