While there was a scent change for Dawn Ultra Original, the soap you’ve shared is our Dawn Platinum Fresh Rain, which used to be known as “Refreshing Rain”. Yes, there was a fragrance change for this dish soap, but it was in June 2022. Because of this, we're not sure which dish soap you're contacting us about. Whichever it is, please stop using it, as your safety is our priority. While our Safety Team assures us that all Dawn dish soaps can be used comfortably as directed, you may have a particular sensitivity to this version. We're here to help and would like to share that if your dishwasher has a filter, we suggest removing it and cleaning it according to the manufacturer's instructions, and then running on a sanitize cycle. Additionally, some materials, such as cast iron and plastic, can absorb odors. If certain items always pick up an odor, they could be old or worn to the point of being porous, and we'd recommend washing by hand. Additionally, our Platinum Dishwasher Soap is more strongly scented as an answer to consumers who see that as a benefit.
