[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried to skimp and save money in my budget on dish washing liquid, but the bargain brands just end up being a waste of money. Dawns price may be more, but you will use much less and get the job done the first time. The scent is pleasant, and it's gentle on your hands too!

The product does what it is supposed to do. It cleans my dishes well, even when they are greasy. However, after years of using it, I'm going to have to switch brands now that the blue has been replaced by this new scent. I tried using it today and now I am itchy all over. I'm allergic to a lot of strong scents and that was one of the reasons I loved Dawn initially. It had a scent, but not one that set off my hives. Now I can't touch the stuff. I'd also be very concerned about this being used on wildlife in the event of oil spills. There are a lot of scents that you are not supposed to use around birds and this smell seems very similar to a lot of the heavier stuff you are supposed to keep away from them. Their respiratory systems don't deal with it well. It would be really sad for people to being using this stuff to help wildlife, only to have some of the birds dying from respiratory distress caused by the new scent. I'd have given a second star for Dawn's ability to clean regardless of my allergies, but when something is advertised as good for helping wildlife with a cute little duck on the front, I'd have hoped they wouldn't go messing with something that is known to be bad for birds.

I love dawn soap but the new scent is absolutely awful and I can’t use the product. Not only does it smell bad when using it, it lingers on dishes and smells and tastes like the fragrance. I hope Dawn will communicate about this and go back to the old fragrance. If this was a cost saving measure it wasn’t worth it! I can’t use my brand new bottle

This is my mom’s preference and for good reason. We cook a lot in my house and it’s a lot of qorma and just dishes with a lot of sauce. That’s bound to leave tough stains and oil residue. This soap is fantastic. I don’t even have to try too hard to get the mess off.

It gets off the stuck on parts with ease. Dawn also has many other uses, which you can find on Pinterest. All in all it is a great price, great value for your buck. Would highly recommend.

I have always loved Dawn, but can't stand the new "fresh clean scent". It had a clean scent before but now smells like perfume. It is so strong that a family member walked in the front door and asked what I was cleaning with (just washed dishes). Please provide the option of the original scent!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son has a bad habit of keeping dishes in his room for LONG periods of time. I mean like weeks! He recently brought out a sink full of dry, caked on plates, storage containers, silverware & casserole dishes. I cringed when I saw the mess he left me. I didn't panic though. I ran hot water in the garbage disposal side of the sink (that way I could get rid of the waste) & put a few drops of Dawn Platinum in the sink. By the time I unloaded my dishwasher & was ready to fill it with his collection, everything had come clean! No scrubbing, just a gentle wipe with a Teflon sponge & it was ready for the dishwasher. I was utterly amazed! I've always loved Dawn, but this is the BEST product ever!

I love the powerful dishwashing of Dawn Platinum, but I was so displeased to have purchased what I thought was the original scent (since the color and packaging seemed to be the same) only to find that the scent had changed to "Refreshing Rain". It is not refreshing. Please bring back the old scent. There was NOTHING wrong with the original scent. It was a proven winner, so why mess with a good thing? Looks like I am not alone in this opinion, judging by other reviews left here.

I hate doing the dishes but love this stuff I can be lazy and let my dishes soak in some water and this dish soap while i eat and have my place smell great and then have a quick rinse of the dishes afterwards. Plus the price point is great and the bottle is so large it last me forever!

Dawn is the only dish soap ill buy. It suds up good and has a nice lather. Its lasts awhile on the sponge so your not continuously getting more soap. The most important factor to me, it cuts grease!! I don't like rewashing dishes because they are still greasy. I've tried many brands. Dawn is the only one that is good on grease
